The Bookshelf: Ornamental Flowers, Buds and Leaves by V. Ruprich-Robert

Today I am sharing with you a book a came across whilst browsing in my Art department. It is a beautifully illustrated book full of textural flowers and foliage. Motifs are layered, combined and built up into interesting compositions. The absence of colour highlights the interesting line and textural qualities of these natural drawings.

"Drawn from a rare nineteenth-century French source, this original compilation features flowers, plants, buds, and leaves in a stylised natural forms as well as in more decorative arrangements."
A bonus feature is that hundreds of these hard to find images are included on the accompanying CD-ROM which is in high resolution jpeg formats. A perfect resource with an index of each graphic illustration for you to use for inspiration over and over again.
