I love how Jennifer uses interesting papers as if they were fabric, she stitches, traps and embeds unusual things, contrasting both the traditional and contemporary with an element of recycling. "I enjoy the idea of working with disposable organic materials that are transient in nature, imbuing them with worth and creating something intriguing and of great beauty."

Jennifer takes considerable inspiration from the materials she uses along with the places she searches and collects them from which include flea markets, charity shops, fruit and veg stalls and antique shops. "Whenever I am really stuck for an idea I seek inspiration from literature or poetry."
Jennifer studied for a BA (Hons) in Textiles at Manchester Metropolitan University. Most of the techniques she now uses in her work however, have been achieved through self exploration since graduating by experimenting with different media and techniques.
