It was a really nice surprise to stumble across the work of the talented architect James Anzalone. James works as an architect but has a real love of drawing, painting and sketching which is evident from the stunning work below. He is based in Brooklyn, America which provides a rich source inspiration from the architectural marvels, neighbouring landscapes and historical buildings that surround him.
You can see from James's sketches he draws freehand and it is this loose, sketchy and free style that I love. His black line work appears to have a life of its own as it seamlessly works with the flowing washes of watery watercolour paint he highlights his work with.
