Falling Into a Fantasy World with Florence Manlik

Today I thought I would share a very fluid, soft and calming style of artwork from the  talented Parisian illustrator Florence Manlik. She beautifully in a works in a highly detailed and organically structured style. I love her very tight and linear line work that swirls and intertwines before loosing control and flowing across the page.

This abstract and fantasy-like style of work is created using pens and interestingly includes a range of distinguishable and unusual imagery from animals, sea creatures and florals to geometric shapes and symbols. Florence "captures from a lost symbolist unfold on 'parcels of nothingness." Sourced

"I look for the best imbalance. In the end it is all quite serious, it only looks like fantasy. Or the contrary". Sourced
